Because it is a short week you have two tasks for this week that you can do over the tree days. Try to spend 30 minutes on math and 30 minutes on literacy each day.

Wednesday- Friday

It is your first week on the job with your brand new lawn care business. You have three tasks to get your business up and running!

  • Do your tasks and SHOW YOUR WORK. It might be helpful to print the activity, or work on paper. Make sure that I can see your thinking and not just the answers!

  • If you get stuck, or aren't sure what to do next TRY IT FIRST, then watch the videos linked here where Ms. F walks you through the way she would do it. Pause the video, try again, and then come back as needed.

  • When you are done each task come back to the video and fast forward to the end to check your work! The video is NOT so you can copy, but to help you learn and to check your work.

This week we are starting a mini unit on Reader's Theatre. Reader's Theatre is a great way to practice reading out loud, and can be really fun to experiment with voices, expression, and tone.

This week your job is to watch some reader's theatre performances, and then to do your own.

  • Start by watching the videos of your teacher's doing reader's theatre, and on reading wit expression and fluency.

  • Watch Mrs. Samayoa's reader's theatre where she shows you one way you could create your play!

  • Next choose a play you are interested in!  Plan out and practice your play a few times with different voices, expression, and tone. Remember you don't have to memorize it, just read it fluently!

  • Film your play and share it to Seesaw! Next week we will get together and watch your masterpieces!

You can use whatever you want to play the parts in your plays, stuffies, family members, puppets, etc! Be creative and have fun! You can even create props and a set if you
