Weekly Learning Goals

  • Whole class: Take a stand: Is txting ruining the way children write? at 930

Week Two Schedule

MONDAY​

  • Zoom Meeting with the whole class and parents.  10 a.m.​

  • Journal entry: Use the prompt in Class Notebook.  You can write in your journal and take a picture and upload it in Class Notebook, or you can write it directly in your Class Notebook.  Use the Journal Entries tab.​

  • Grammar Minute 29: Watch the video and use your booklet to complete Monday.  An answer key will be emailed to parents so you can mark your work at home.​

  • Math: Read the notes on equivalent fractions, watch the video, play the game and create two new cards for the game.  Either create your cards right in Class Notebook or create them on paper and take a picture and insert.​

  • Listen to the end of Flora and Ulysses on YouTube.​

 

TUESDAY​

  • Grammar Minute Tuesday Week 29​

  • Reading Response: Comic Craze in Class Notebook​

  • Math: Play Unit Fraction War (found on the Math Games playlist of the Grade 4 YouTube channel). ​

  • Start your Prodigy assignment.​

  • Listen to  Mable Murple from our March Madness on YouTube​ (use the link above - MM 1)

  • Choose one lesson from Miss Steph’s page (Lessons and Resources tab).  Email me something you learned.​

 

WEDNESDAY​​

  • Grammar Minute Wednesday Week 29​

  • Reading Response: Txting in Class Notebook​

  • Math: Read the notes on converting fractions, watch the video, complete the proof questions, watch the second video, and use the draw tool to complete the activity.  If you would prefer to print it and complete it, that’s ok too.  Don’t forget to insert it.​

  • Listen to Round Trip on YouTube​ (MM 2)

 

THURSDAY​

  • Zoom Meeting with the whole class: Be prepared to share your opinion on whether texting is ruining students’ writing.  9:30 a.m.​

  • Grammar Minute Thursday Week 29​

  • Write a Friday Letter on a Thursday!  Write two paragraphs: 1) What I learned this week, 2) What I enjoyed about my learning this week.  Remember to use proper friendly letter formatting.  Complete in your Class Notebook.​

  • Math: Play the math game Converting Fractions and Decimals on YouTube.​

  • Watch Telefrancais Episodes 28 and 29 (French playlist on the Grade 4 YouTube channel)​

  • Listen to Allie All Day and Stepping Stones on YouTube (MM 3 and 4)
